The Pointed Hat is nestled in a quaint storefront inside a 192 year old buliding constructed in 1825, that is located at 13 West Main Street, Port Jervis NY. We love our location and we love our town; Port Jervis isn’t just where our shop/Temple space is located it’s where we grew up and attended school, it’s where we live, shop, and relax. This page will provide you with links and information that can take you all around our marvelous Tri- State area to various other local businesses, houses of worships, attractions, and town facilities of interest. Many visitors have come to enjoy the beautiful scenery that surrounds the city in all directions, and thousands pass through the city during the summer and fall.

Port Jervis, NY, also known as the River City and the Gateway to the Upper Delaware River is a small city located at the junction of three states, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. It has served as a transportation center for hundreds of years, first as a stop on the Old Mine Road, the first 100-mile road in America, then as a port on the Delaware and Hudson Canal and finally as a division center for New York and Lake Erie Railroad. It still serves as a regional center as the area’s major roadways pass through or near it. Port Jervis is a historic town, but also looks to the future. We hope you will visit us!

Run by volunteers, Empowering Port Jervis is the place where people of all ages may gather, share, learn and network. It is a place where people connect with existing resources and find new ones to solve current problems and move to improve their future. With few exceptions, activities are free of charge. It began with the idea that it takes more than one person to change the world. That we are all teachers and we are all students. That we each have abundant skills and knowledge and through sharing our passions, our community will rebuild itself from the inside out. One neighbor to another.
