Litha Fire and Feast
June 21 @ 8:00 PMto10:00 PM
Event Fee: Your BYOB beverage to share or a potluck dish for the feast, as well as any additional donations of supplies such as bundles of firewood.
Litha is a time at which there is a battle between light and dark. The Oak King, one of the many faces of the God, is ruler of the year between winter solstice and summer solstice, and the Holly King from summer to winter.
This is a time of year of brightness and warmth. Crops are growing in their fields with the heat of the sun, but may require water to keep them alive. The power of the sun at Midsummer is at its most potent, and the earth is fertile with the bounty of growing life.
This is a day of inner power and brightness. Join us to celebrate the summer’s return and the power and bounty of the Sun with a ritual bonfire and feast!
Spaces are limited; we have a 15 guest maximum so please reserve your spot in advance as much as possible. You may comment here in the event or message us to ask if we have space for extra guests, and please let us know if will be bringing extra guests with you.
Please RSVP “Going” by Tuesday, June 20th at 11:59pm. Please reach out to us for any exceptions when possible. When RSVP’ing, please comment with how you are paying for paid events, or what you are bringing for donation events. If you are bringing (an) additional guest(s), please also include “+” and how many extra guests you will be bringing. Please keep in mind, there will not always be available spaces.
No one under 18 is admitted unless with a parent or trusted guardian. Please let us know if you wish to bring children when RSVP’ing, and with how many. We may have to decline children if circle is too advanced for younger practitioners.
Everyone has a chance to arrive, settle in, and mingle for the first 15 minutes of the event. Guests will not be admitted after 30 minutes; if we have already started grounding, centering, and meditation, it will be distracting. Please let us know if you are running late so we can anticipate your arrival. If you regrettably can no longer attend, please contact us as soon as possible or simply un- RSVP from the event and comment.
Please put your cell phones on silent or shut them off when circle begins. Be mindful that this is a public religious and spiritual event, so please be positive and treat everyone with respect, the way you would treat a member of your own family, coven, or circle, or a close friend. Please be mindful of the energy you bring into the circle. Refrain from using excessively foul or discriminating language, or perverse comments. If you don’t have anything nice to say, please don’t say anything at all! Let’s just have some fun!
While we will occasionally toast to the Gods with mead and ale, we do not permit heavy drinking as well as drug use during events and circles.
Come sit a spell! You can subscribe to our events on Facebook and be the first to know about new goings on and updates! Blessings and magick!
